FiboSearch – Ajax Search for WooCommerce – This plugin adds a visually appealing and very useful search feature to a WooCommerce site. It features live search suggestions as a search term is being typed, along with a thumbnail image of the search suggestions. For my website, where users are often searching for an item by part number (with potentially similar part numbers), this provides a very efficient search. It’s a vast improvement over the (now obsolete) Zoom search we had been using.
WP Mail SMTP by WPForms – This plugin solves a problem we’ve had with site-generated email, where the “from” address makes a site-generated message fail the DMARC anti-spam tests now being enforced by Google, Yahoo, and other email hosts. By allowing us to use an SMTP server other than the site host to send site-generated mail, we can avoid lost email caused by a failed DMARC test.
Real Testimonials – This is a plugin to highlight positive customer reviews and testimonials to improve positive branding. In the past we have received emails complimenting us for our service when customers were in a pinch, and it will be nice to have a way to share that feedback with other potential customers who don’t know us as well. The plugin seems to be frequently updated and has good (though limited) feedback from its users.
ELEX WooCommerce Request a Quote – This plugin allows me to convert WooCommerce from the standard shopping cart/purchase online model to a site that generates requests for quote but no actual purchases. This is how our business operates, since our industrial customers do not purchase online, but rather by issuing purchase orders.
